The festival is focused on discovering filmmakers who are actively using AI to generate video or moving images — not still-image experiments, prompt montages, or technical demonstrations presented as films.

Submissions are accepted exclusively through FilmFreeway.

ELIGIBILITY & FILM REQUIREMenTS

  • Short films only

  • Between 90 seconds and 10 minutes

  • Completed works only (no trailers or works-in-progress)

To be eligible, artificial intelligence must play a central creative role in generating the video itself.

Films where AI is used only for minor edits, cleanup, upscaling, color correction, or post-production utilities do not qualify.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Submissions must include:

  • A completed film

  • A brief description (2–3 sentences) explaining how AI was used creatively

  • A list of primary AI tools used
